Final Render:Network rendering Problem!!!

Hi,

 

First I have to say this is a great forum. As an architecture student, who is doing moddeling and Ps-work for an arch viz studio, this is a great resource.

 

Now my problem. I am currently working on a amall uni project.

 

I am rendering a scene of 300 frames on four machines using final renderers distributed renderer. Two of those machines work without any problem on full cpu load.

But my own pc and one other never use 100% cpu. The cpu load is changing between 50 and 80% the whole time.

 

I am using max 7.5 my machine is a barton 2400 and the othe one with problems is an amd 64 3400.

 

When I am using the scanline renderer with the backburner, I have 100% cpu usage on all pcs.

 

Does anyone might have a clue where this behaviour comes from?

FR has a checkbox for rendering in the background and using less of the CPU. It's there in case you want to try and work while rendering. I don't have FR right in front of me right now so I don't remember exactly what the checkbox is called or where it is.

Use All Procs checkbox is checked on all machines.

 

I still hav no clue.

I have found out this much.... the hdri which am using does noct seem to work on that particular pc. I use a hdri as skylight and it is 16 bit. If i turn that same hdri to 8 bit or 32 bit it does work and the cpu uses 100% of it capacity. But 16 seems somhow damaged... I dont now...

 

I tried using another hdri with 16 bit, it worked. So this is all very strange.
