Gander0
Ive seen some pretty flash interior renders on this site and was hoping for some tips. Can't seem to get my interior looking good. Any help would be much appreciated.
hothands456
I think your overall lighting is good. The light spheres are the only objects that seem flat. light spheres suggestions: - shade/texture the light spheres differently; - add a little transparency to the sphere; - add a slight glow to each sphere
JamesTaylor
i think in general there isn't anything i'd drastically change in your rendering settings. However, i tend to have primary bounce set at .9 and secondary at .6 or .7 just to give differeniate between the diffierent light stikes. sometime i'll also turn up the no. of bounces for the secondary. Hsph Subdivs - nothing wrong with 50, but it can be reduced to as low as 25 for test purposes and 40 generally good enough for finals, the higher its the higher the render time. Interp samples can be raised slightly? defines how much blur is applied to smooth between the individual samples (laymans terms!!) If you've changed the lighting settings you'll need to recalculate the irr map so single frame generally. Vray Hdri, won't be as noticable in an internal image as an external G-Buffer, i tend to use HSV exponetial colour mapping as this is closest to real world from my understanding. Play around with dark / bright mult until your happy, generally find no need for massive changes here tho. http://www.spot3d.com - all the reference info for vray i think it is mostly your material settings and lighting set up that are holding back the quality of renders rarther than the render settings. hope this helps James
