the.3dsmax.blogger
Hey Archi, I had been thru this before !! CgArchitect was there to help !!! 1) Turn on the Bitmap Pager Option in The Renderings Tab in Preferences. That should solve most of your issues. 2) Turn off Rendered Frame Window option in the Render control Dialog during the high res render. Remember to save to file. Will save some memory there. MegaPixel
So what your saying is that MAX detemines your maximum rendering size limit by analysing your system resources available? The more memory you have, the larger the render size? With MAX 7, I'm rendering images up to 5500pixels wide but that last time I went over 6000, I got some sort of error but it was a long time ago. I've got 3 Gigs memory.
Ricardo Eloy
I don't think Max is limiting your render size. What is probably happening is that the program is shutting down when you try to render large sizes, right? You could try using the Render Region, dividing your image. Also, try Backburner to split your image.
