render size limit !!! help

hi there, i am limited to render below 4000x4000 on 3dsmax 7 and 1gb ram is there any way i can do that ?? urgent help needed please.

Hey Archi, I had been thru this before !! CgArchitect was there to help !!!

1) Turn on the Bitmap Pager Option in The Renderings Tab in Preferences. That should solve most of your issues.

2) Turn off Rendered Frame Window option in the Render control Dialog during the high res render. Remember to save to file. Will save some memory there.

So what your saying is that MAX detemines your maximum rendering size limit by analysing your system resources available? The more memory you have, the larger the render size?

 

With MAX 7, I'm rendering images up to 5500pixels wide but that last time I went over 6000, I got some sort of error but it was a long time ago. I've got 3 Gigs memory.

I don't think Max is limiting your render size. What is probably happening is that the program is shutting down when you try to render large sizes, right? You could try using the Render Region, dividing your image. Also, try Backburner to split your image.

i found everytime i try to render anything above 16,000,000 pixel in total, 3dsmax crashes.

to render a huge image, you can try this script:

hello use backburner and use split scan lines be shure that non of the areas splited be larger than 16,000,000 pixels
