fernando-1
In the treeshop plugin..... how do you create new tree spiecies from jpegs to keep adding to the original collection? I know you have to do an original and aalpha copy of it but I dont seem to update the collection somehow. Thanks.
Ismael
When you start the plugin it asks you at the top to load a material library. Now if you go to the material editor after loading the library and click "Get Material" /From Mtl Library, you should see the trees in that library. Drag one of them to the Material Editor and you'll see that it is a Standard Material with a Diffuse and an Opacity Map. What you do then is to create a material like that and save it to your own Library. Then; next time you use the plugin, you just load the Library that contains your new creation. That is all. I like that Plugin myself and have been always very thankful to Marc Lorenz for giving it so generously. Hope it works for you, Ismael
fernando-1
Ismael, Thank you very much that really worked for me. I have another question, when I render the trees I get a shadow from the plane perpendicular to the plane facing the camera. Is there a way to fix that. Thanks again. Ismael
I use Viz 4 and TreeShop v2.0 which allows for a "Look at Controller" to be assigned to the trees or plants. That is what you need and that plane you mentioned will be perpendicular to the camera you selected. Of course if you have Max 6 and up you can use v2.5 which I believe is the latest build but does not work with Viz 4. That's it I think, Ismael
fernando-1
Even if I do the face renderview activated I still get the shadow of the plane perpendicular to the view on the other plane.
Ismael
Post an image with the problem. Use imageShack if you don't have web space. Ismael Edit: You may just go to the Object properties and uncheck Receive Shadows. Those trees are quite presentable and nice, but they are just 2D looking like 3D. Have fun and if you find another answer to the issue, please do post it.
Psychoscorpic
Hi Ismael. I popped over to his site, but there is no facility to download Ver2, only the current ver2.5 Do you know where I can get it, since I am still using Viz4? Thanks Geoff
