Frobozz
Actually it has gotten worse. The forums are apparently locked out. So I've emailed them and threatened to contact PayPal. Here is the letter I sent: Look... I'm pissed. First, I order and nothing arrives. Now your forums are disabled. What do you want? A bloody lawsuit? I'm f****** sick of this. You either get me my d*** order or I'll talk PayPal into dropping your sorry a**. A Very Pissed Customer, >
Trick
Since the topic "Any news on delivery?" has been deleted and I still have not heard anything from Mr.Ronny Smith it is safe to say we can all file an official complaint with Paypal

Here is the letter I sent: Is that the actual wording you used? If someone spoke to me like that they'd go straight to the bottom of my priority list. I'm not saying it will happen here but, if things like this go to court it never looks good on someone to have a letter like that read out. Sindala
No news here either. I just sent a polite email asking when i can expect the downloadinstructions. The guy is probably very busy with something (planning a holiday to Hawaii perhaps ) so i'll give it another week or two. It looks like a good 'and fun' program to use, and i can't imagine he would screw up his whole operation for a quick buck so it seems best to just wait. But at the same time, they have been causing a lot of problems for people. Just wasn't aware of it before ordering. Apparently they were originally using BMT Micro to accept payment. Then because of an incident (the purchaser never got the product) they were dropped. Another thing that caught my attention was they stopped selling through 3rd party providers. Apparently they were doing it for some time. Makes me think maybe the providers dropped them instead of Aliencodec dropping the providers. Maybe Aliencodec did something similar with them? wondertonio
Hi all ! I'm in the same situation as yours... Sent emails too and got no answers. So I went to their (locked by now) forum, and then came here... Seems to me that they are a very small team (like two or three max) and just had a good article/ad on cgarchitect a couple of days ago. Even if we all tend to get a bit nervous when money is involved, we should try to remember that it's just 40 bucks and they're probably overwhelmed by now. Let's give them some days before getting mad and burning them down. I'll personally will be even ok to wait for 2 or 3 weeks : I wasn't waiting for this product to do a job, I just jumped on the deal. Concerning the possible "sting", I really don't think so. I downloaded the demos some months ago when investigating on realtime technologies, and they are nice piece of software, not just screenshots. Let's cool down. We'll have our download links (?) sooner if they don't have to deal with attorneys in the next few hours
Frobozz
Well I just found out how overwhelmed they really are. I was forwarded an email that was sent out to http://www.thegamecreators.com. It appears something interesting is in the process. Here is the reply the person got: Hi , The following is a reply to your enquiry: If you purcahed from Aliencodec then it's up to them to sort you. We are in the processes of buying them out. So until that is complete we cannot help you just yet. Like you, we are waiting on them. Rick Vanner I hope "The Game Creators" can do a better job. Anybody is going to do better than Sabata though.
GertchaUK
Any news guys? I purchased the products on 11/11/05, my e-mails are being ignored so it seems. If www.thegamecreators.com bought them out, does anyone think they will take on www.aliencodec.com extremely cheap sales? I noticed over at www.thegamecreators.com they are already selling treemagik g2 and plantlife. Something tells me this was a last min scam by aliencodec to cash in before they sold the business? Sindala
Perhaps someone in the U.S. can make a telephonecall to get some more information from aliencodec? From what i could find they seem to be based in Crosby Texas. It's not that i'm inpatient, but the fact that they closed the forum and arent responding to anyone worries me a bit. GertchaUK
Still no word. Has anybody else had any luck yet? I'm considering purchasing it from gamecreators, has anybody used them or maybe they are just as bad!
Sawyer
I have a feeling we are all out of luck on this. I found this review while looking for info. http://www.3dlinks.com/Rating.cfm?linkid=4092
GertchaUK
That's interesting! So does anyone know if there's a chance of getting our money back through paypal?
3da
I have lodged an official complaint with Paypal about this Ronnie Smith. They now give him a certain time to respond, if he doesn’t which seems to be an obvious character trait of this person the dispute will be ruled in my favor and I am sure I will be refunded. From what I know Paypal does not look favorably on dishonest traders. What a shame I really looked forward to this software!
tdarcy
Hi guys, I have also logged a complaint with pay-pal, so now its a wait and see.
GertchaUK
Well I have also done the same and contacted Paypal. It's not losing the money I'm annoyed about, although obviously it's frustrating. I also wanted the software. I think in retaliation someone should distribute it freely!! Ray
Complaint also filed. I think it wa stated during the paypal complaint process that complaints must be filed within 45 days of purchase, in case anyone else is considering this.
Jeff Mottle
Hi guys, I feel somewhat responsible for posting this guys link. I've emailed him to let him know that I have re-directed the link to their "sale", to midway through this thread. I've welcomed him to contacted me, but I doubt I will hear anything. I suspect PayPal will be able to help you out, and if they can not and you used a credit card, contact your credit card company and they can file an incident against the company as well. tdarcy
Not your fault at all Jeff, the fault firmly lies at Ronnie Smiths door AKA Aliencodec. Cheers TD
Sindala
Complaint filed. I also asked the gamecreators if they could clarify what's going on, but i havent heard from them either since tuesday.
Ray
Personally, I'd rather have the software at the $40 price than get a refund. So, I guess I'll wait and see what happens. Don't worry about it, Jeff--we all know the risk when ordering anything online. Thanks for looking into it, though.
GertchaUK
I think to be honest we all would prefer the software than a refund. However if you look over the internet at aliencodec's reputation, I fear it's pretty unrealistic to expect the products to arrive to us
Sindala
yup, i want the software to, i feel like a child who payed the shopkeeper for candy, and now he wont give. i'm not yet yelling and crying, but i do want my candy.
GertchaUK
I thought about purchasing it from gamecreators, it's obviously not at the "sale" price but I'm weary if gamecreators will be just the same and not provide the goods!
