Christopher Nichols
A lot of people on this forum have been asking me about it, so here it is. After a lot of work it will be out very soon, the companion to my first DVD, "Global Illumination: Exteriors," is?... guess what?... "Global Illumination: Interiors." It is 3.75 hours of lecture and is a sequel to the first one. I would not recommend seeing this one without the first one. When will it be out? Pretty sure that every boy and girl should have it on their Xmas List. PS: To moderators: If you think this thread needs to be moved or remove, and/or if you consider it spam, please let me know. Ernest Burden III
PS: To moderators: If you think this thread needs to be moved or remove, and/or if you consider it spam, please let me know. I, for one, think you've paid your dues here, Chris. I'm glad to know about the new offering. So far I only have one of the Gnomon DVD's, one of Eric's, and that's only because he handed me one at Siggraph. I guess I have to dust off the old bank card... mhinks
I want the exteriors dvd so much, even tho I use Brazil mainly, never used Vray, But I think the techniques outlined will be very useful. BUT, it cost so much to get it delivered! from $59 to something near $105 from them direct, and I think about $26 from Vizmasters. Ill have to wait to get it on the company instead! Or buy two DVDs and the shipping is free. Anything $99 and over is elegible for free shipping at the VisMasters store.

jcorpe
I'm buying this for myself for Christmas. I won't wrap it though and, oh hell, I guess it's a pre-Christmas treat. What does it say about me that I'm actually looking more forward to this release than any of the release games for the xbox 360? Argh, I'm losing my gaming youth! (And I'll be buying it from VisMasters, where I got my Christopher Nichols Exteriors DVD free with V-Ray!)
Steve O
A few questions. Is there a distributor of these tutorials/DVDs in the UK? If I have to get them shipped across are the DVD's region 1 only? Does anyone know the link to purchase the 2 tutorials at a reduced price? Can anyone else recommend something similar if I am unable to get hold of these tutorials? Thanks in advance Stephen
AJLynn
thegnomonworkshop.com will ship them to you. Don't worry about regions - they're not DVD Video, they're DVD-ROMs, so they're not regioned.
Steve O
Thanks for your response. Do you know if the content of the DVDs is still fairly current?. I notice from some of the previous threads they date back to 2005. Cheers
AJLynn
Chris used Vray 1.47 when he made the first disc, and something between 1.47 and 1.50RC for the second. There have been some changes is Vray settings since then, but nothing huge has changed.
Jim Mann
Do you know if the content of the DVDs is still fairly current? Yes. They are really, really helpful if you use Vray. Absolutely recommended!
Steve O
Thank you for your replies. I'm positive I saw a website that was selling both DVD's as a bundle for 99$. Did I imagine this as I can't for the life of me find where this offer was.
