kris
I got the job to model highway. The problem is that I never did such a job before. Usually I produce interior, exterior visualizations of buildings. Highway model has to be done in Max8 and I hate loft in max ( so much easier in Rhino). Can it be done in max precisely and how. One problem I never found solution for is when I texture roads I have to loft roads and make mapping coordinates in loft command, after that I cant edit model with edit mesh becouse I will lose mapping coordinates of road. Imagine situation where one road turns into two roads like "Y" first I cant looft it. The only way is to looft one side of the road and than other one and join them together, but with no polyedit becouse I lose mapping coordinates and there is no more white lines and dirt on the road. Cubic mapping is not helping here. Maybe I am missing something. Does anyone knows any good tutorials for road modeling in Max. Thanks
lambros
I think that in max 8 there is a way to keep your uvs and go back to the mesh and modify. try the help file
