Matt Sugden
I'm currently in the process of modelling another bed, and I'm dissatisfied with the level of detail I'm getting. Typically I take a box (for the matress) chamfer it a couple of times then add a large texture of a ruffled material to get the look, which usually looks ok. However, I really want to get the the detail of the sheets folding under the matress, but I can't seem to acheive this effect without millions of polys across the whole bed, which seem wasted when it is only the corners of the matress which require this amount of detail. Can anyone suggest any tips? PS this isn't reference to cloth simulation really, it's more in terms of getting a tight tucked look to the sheets. as hopefully you can see from the attached image. piotrgreg
I like Y bed this shadow that I would take off the picture if I worked on detail level, as u suggest,I'd come closer, much closer
Matt Sugden
sorry if there's any confusion, this isn't a bed I have modelled. This is a photo of a bed off the internet that I am using as an example of the type of matress corner detail I am trying to emulate.
