I would like to know that if a person of non UAE origin, who has a been offered a job in UAE, Sharjah, SAIF Zone, then

1) Is it mandatory to submit the passport to the employer / government during the period of stay? To my knowledge, It is not mandatory, but lot of employers insist to retain the passport. Can one negotiate with the employer and insist on not submitting the passport? I would never want to submit my passport and be at the mercy of the bureaucracy in a foreign land !!

2) what should a 7 yr experienced 3d Animator expect, in terms of remuneration from the best in the industry for a job profile of 3d animator ( 3dsmax/autocad/ photoshop/combustion/fusion/afterefects) ? The job profile is with reference to motion graphics animator. but we can also discuss salary structures for an arch visualiser profile as well..

3) how can we negotiate with the employer ? what are the different benefits we can insist on ? medical / insurance / travel allowances / gratuity / bonuses / etc etc ..

I need more as well as appropriate information in hand :)

anvar: do u work for an employee or are you self employed ??
