georgeedgard
Start looking for Jacques Derrida (recently dead), Rem Koolhaas, Peter Eisenman and Bernard Tschumi. I believe that this names will give you a better idea, specialy Derrida who developed the philosophic principles of deconstructivism.
reddy
constructivism was an artistic movement in Russia from 1914 onward, which dismissed "pure" art in favour of art used as an instrument for social purposes (namedly, the construction of the socialist system). you should definitely look back to this era for more ideas on this. people like Tatlin and those around him did really fantastic stuff and their work is useful even from a pure graphic design perspective. I love the ambition in their architecture and ideas. good luck.
