i am looking for some information regarding financial figures of a typical business/company in the cg pre-viz market, e.g. cost of services, cost of contracts, over-all market financial figures. any information would be of great help.

Try a search for 'prices' of 'fees'. Most of that's been discussed many times. Also look at David Wright's articles - good stuff (on the home page, right side).
