isurunath_b
Hi, I have been rendering an architectural exterior using a photometric sun and a skylight, using light tracer and scanline rendering. However when ever I off the sky light and just try to render the building using the sun, some of the areas in shadow become black. I am desperately trying to get a pohoto realistic render. I WOULD REALLY APPRECITE ANY ADIVICE ON ACHIEVING THIS Thanks
manta
Why did you turn the skylight off ? it would seem to me that the skylight is your indirect illumination...
isurunath_b
Yes, but the back of the bulding looks too bright and it looks a bit like a painting even though i reduce the intensity, the sun is hitting the front facade. Is there anything in the light tracer settings i should manupilate to get photo realism?. this is a image of the building without the proper lighting effects. JamesTaylor
looks fine to me, but its difficult to tell with image you posted, try using less compression so its easier to see the detail
