mtrs1976
Guys I need your help badly. It’s been almost six months now since I started with 3d max. I was able to make some decent renderings and my boss was actually appreciative of them. However I still could not visualize most of our design projects since we deal most frequently with period interiors/furniture. And period furniture is such a headache to model. So since then I stopped experimenting with rendering and started to learn how to make period furniture such as a model of louis 15th armchair. Guys if only I can model Louis the15th armchair it would make my Christmas season complete. Any helping hand there?

noi-pi
Spline is very flexible. Just follow the contour of the arms, back etc. Clone copy it....then attach.....then using surface modifier you can shape the volume by adding more spline (line). I would suggest Spline - very flexible. Learn the basic first from the manual.
Matt Sugden
Hi mtrs1976, I went through modelling lots of this stuff last year, and I'm in the process of packaging it for sale, but I haven't had time recently. http://www.virtual-living.co.uk/visual.htm if you drop me a mail I'll post you when it becomes available.
