The Trickster
Hi All, Would anybody be kind enough to give me some info on this render! As you can see its just a plain old room. I have sunk some squares into the back wall for the purpose of putting something in them. However this part of the render appears foggy. Could anyone tell me why this is? Im am using V-ray adv with a light map. Environment skylight at 1.0. Thanks in advance for any help! http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/2232/test4sd1.jpg
Gabriella_A
Hallo Philip... very strange image... show the settings, in order to see what is going wrong... Are you sure that the "exposure" in max is off? You also have a direct light outside the room , but it bounces no light in... Test your image with the "material override" button... take a gray 200 (or similar) and see if there are material problems... turn off all the light and verify that the scene is completely black... Then activate only the skylight and start to see how much light you can see... but without seeing the settings I can't say much... perhaps you simply have a glass without "affect alpha - shadows" activated... Cheers Gabriella
The Trickster
Hi, thanks, this is a bit embarrassing but how do I copy my settings to then host them?

Gabriella_A
Hi Phil... You still have some problems in your image... No light trough the glass... too dark!! And the rest of the room is grey or overexposed... perhaps there is a glass problem... Hide the glass windows (you also have some skylight in the roof..., hide that glass too) Turn off the direct light you have, make a grey material override.... and watch at your scene with only the enviornment skylight... let's see what happens... hope that helps Gabry P.S. Change adaptive antialias from 1-6 to 1-4 .. you don't need a so high antialias!
