JamesTaylor
Alright Phil, Unfortunately not, i sincerely hope someone says otherwise but i'm 99.9% sure it doesn't. I've wondered about it myself previously when i've had issuses, would be a handy addition, but probably very heavy on system resources. The Trickster
Hey James, I dont see why programs like Autocad and Max can have backup files but PS can't. I wonder if its on CS2? Ah well. I have some news for you anyway, I'll mither you later!
JamesTaylor
i guess its because CAD and max use nodes to store data, much like vector shapes, which creates relatively small files whereas photoshop is storing data on a per pixel basis hence the much larger file size, it is quite easy to end up with p'shop files of over a Gig which would soon rack up if temp backup files were created. the.3dsmax.blogger
" FILE > SAVE AS " at regular intervals is the best backup that Photoshop provides at the moment.. Its almost second nature to me.. Ctrl+s .. oops .. see i did it again.. . I dont know about the CS2 version though.
DennisHolland
You're right 3DBlogger, ctrl+s at each step while working is the best backup. It's very unlikely that there will be a backup in PS, probably never will because of Jats' answer... Dennis
