Sketchrender
Hi I am about to do a small competition, and will build the model in sketchup 5. I would like to export the drawings from sketchup, and hence do the entire presenation sheet this way, ie perspectives and drawings. Two questions:- 1. What is the best method, I have done it before just exporting 2d DWG, is there a better way with certain settings. 2. Do you know of any good competition sheets as a guide line. Thank you
Jason Matthews
Hey Philip. The only way to do it is by exporting to a 2D dwg. Fix the lineweight and export to PS as an .eps file. The you can set it to whatever resolution you want. I like to do section perspectives this way with the slice plane. Then I adjust the model so I am looking at the section perspective from an angle. The in PS I color the cut plan to match the background color of my board. You can also try overlaying a wireframe on the shaded model adjust some transparancies and viola. I would recommend looking at book layouts. Possibly "Hybrid Space" by Peter Zellner.
