Tim Danaher
First Posting in here... Always wanted to do this, and since I'm currently 'resting' (anyone need any SketchUp work done?), I thought I'd have a crack at it. Unfortunately, not too much info. on the web, so I had to work from the two interior and the exterior photos we've all seen and two photos taken from street level. So, lots of missing information as it stands, and I had to be 'inventive' in places. However Jeff Jacobs dug out an old Architectural Record with some really nice photos and diagrams, so I've got more to go on, now. mbowers
Tim, Superb Sketchup work. Nice to see something different in the posts. It's tough to model something like that from plans and even worse when you don't have them. Good job.

dbarc
A challenging bit of modelling - nice work. I bet it leaks like a sieve in reality.
thomas+son
Did you "eye-ball" this or do you have sections? Looks exactly like I remember in the images. GREAT modeling, You should send it to TurnTool.com and see if they will make a Virtual Realty model of it for you. I remember my favorite image was from the ground, you could see this Thing "eating" away at the building. T+S
Tim Danaher
T + S -- Thanks --- it was eyeballed from a few photographs culled from the web. However, someone sent me a scanned article of its first appearance in Architectural Record, so I have some structural Axos to work from now. I'm going to crack this if it kills me... AJLynn
NICE Sketchup work. That project was in the 1988 MOMA Deconstructivist Architecture show, if you can get ahold of the program it has a lot of graphics for it. (Any decent architecture school has it in their library, I think the authors credited are Philip Johnson and Mark Wigley.
