Mattcantlon
I've posted this wip on other forums for C&C but no comments? It's a simple model as I was concerntrating on the lighting\render. Any HDRi techniques or probe link helpful. (Example: I know hdris' don't give strong shadows, any work arounds?) Thanks Matt
IC
Looks great Matt. Textures are lovely. Simple solution to your shadow problem is to add a weak Area Light.
Hector
Looks great Matt. Textures are lovely. Simple solution to your shadow problem is to add a weak Area Light. In the same position as the sun in the HDRI image I would add.
dbarc
It looks good. Maybe play around with depth of field as the render looks pretty crisp all the way through then the HDRI is suddenly very blurry. Can't help you with whether or not you smell I'm afraid.. Tony
This is an architectural site. That is probably why your not getting a lot of comments. Try evermotion or CGTalk for more responces on this type of render.
William Alexander
Very good render. What application are you using? If it's C4D I'd say you "smelled like almonds" (SLA Shaders) WDA
Brian Cassil
Adding the weak area light to come from the same direction as the sun in your hdri is a good idea, but you may want to exclude the whole scene from recieving light so that it only casts shadows.
