Is there a way to get match properties to change the not only the size of the text, but the style and color as well? I had one font in white at a specific size and style, but when I use the match properties it only changes the size.

match properties does change the style and color of text. your problem may be that the properties of the text itself have been changed in the mtext editor. for instance, if you have the color set to anything except byLayer the color will not change with match properties, same with the font, the style will change, but not the actaul font of the text.
