DeeSee
You have nothing to worry about. Those NextLimit guys pose absolutely no threat to your renderer. They released RC1 today and it is a total failure. I don't think anyone has rendered successfully yet. Merry Xmas. deesee

lambros
RC1 does not work. it does not render at all. switching back to the old beta, which worked! Thanks god I have bought vray. still waiting for the maxwell release that works....after all these months of waiting, maxwell is still the best ever, but the new version is unusable. Many basic features are missing, and they are promised to be fixed in the following week(s). Until then...vray
arquiteck09
And i was thinking to buy Maxwell for my current work, man those maxwell users seem very angry, i just looked in the forum and DAMN !!! all kind of dirty thoughts to NL team, sad for them. lambros
if the beta was still available I would highly recommend you bought it. But if you are interested, keep an eye on the NL forum, or cgarchitect. Bugs will be corrected for sure, and when they do, maxwell will be really usable and useful. I have strong faith in it! btw, users that are angry and dissapointed have every right to be that way...Much time has been wasted, and will be.... manta
Maybe this will put an end to paying to beta-test someones software idea, thats what initially turned me off, once its ready and working flawlessly (or close) then I'll think about buying it, its bad enough software companies release thier software too soon, and we're the ones who have to sort through all the bugs, and those are final releases... AJLynn
Maxwell RC1 does work, in some ways, but with obvious problems. But the problems are in areas that are relatively easy to fix, the core renderer is good and much faster than before.
Hazdaz
AJLYNN - how long did that image take to render? (and how fast is your PC?) . . . . I think a new law should be enacted: You can't post MAXWELL renderings unless you also state how long it took to finish.
AJLynn
I can't remember if that was the 1 hour or 9 hour version. Probably the 9, though the 1 wasn't that bad.
