VCRUPI
OK...here's my problem. I modeled a curving road using a spline, then extruded it. The edge of the road is supposed to go from asphalt to gravel. Does anyone know how to "unwrap" the uvw map to paint on it in photoshop? I know there some way to do this as people do it for unwraping modeled heads and clothing for painting. A quick response is greatly apprecatied. By the way, I'm using 3ds max 8. JamesTaylor
not the easiest thing to explain, but there is an unwrappUVW modifer which can be added to geometry, i'd say your best referring to the max help file or google for UVW unwrap i'm sure you can find loads of tut's otherwise, you might lofting more appropiate as it will then allow you to tile a map that follows the curves - it should be quicker the unwrapping and paint etc
