Geoffc
Hey all, new guy here. Quick question: I'd like to get back into modeling (haven't done it since lightweight stuff in school) and want to pick up Viz 06 asap. I only have Acad 2000 though currently. Do any of you have any experience linking Acad's dwg files with Viz when they are different versions? I'm guessing it won't be a problem, but want to make sure before I order. note: I'm looking forward to the linking feature since I still have most of my modeling experience in Acad. Eventually I'd like to do much more of the abstract modeling in Viz itself though. Thanks!!

vizwhiz
Geoffc i read on a weblog recently That acad2007 might have mental ray included as a render option i dontknow i gues i shouldntsay what i dontknow but This could be like really helpful and interesting still holding my breath Randy i model in acad2004 and link into viz4 at home, viz2005 at work and viz2006 NFR at home in my experience, viz4 file linking will ALWAYS screw up at some point 2005 and 2006 are stable for That issue, i have read max 8 has filelinking issues
