Encef
Hi... I'm fairly new to MR. Decided to give it a chance recently. Been having this annoying problem lately: I know objects have to have GENERATE GLOBAL ILLUMINATION active for it to bounce photons into other geometries. When I start a new scene I have no problem... 3 of the 4 options are active by default (Receive Caustics, Generate Global Illumination, Receive Global Illumination) and I can switch them off and back on with no problem. But when I open another scene, say for example, a car my friend was making and I wanna render, I can't activate 'Generate Global Illumination'. I ENABLE it and press OK just to watch it disabled once I go into the object properties again... Needless to say my renderings look like **** with most of the objects left out of GI. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Encef
Problem solved... It's something related to 'Autodesk VIZ Extensions'. Had to uninstall it to be able to change Inderect Illumination properties.
