Clausbang
It is very difficult to find. I once saw a report from something called Jon Peady research or something like that. It was quite expensive as I remenber it.
reddy
Hi, How's it goin? I dont know of any specific figures exactly but given the current construction boom in ireland and the ever increasing demands from local authorities for visualisations for planning applications the market in this country is growing very rapidly. The current trend in architectural practices is also moving towards smaller two/three man firms so the freelance market is also growing. So overall here the outlook is good. I really wouldnt have a clue about value tho. sorry. Good luck.
Iain Denby
The current trend in architectural practices is also moving towards smaller two/three man firms so the freelance market is also growing. That's interesting. Why is this?

reddy
Hi, No i'm an architecture student in UCD at the moment but i've an unhealthy interest in this stuff! Dabbled a bit doin a few freelance things for the office i worked for on my year out. Dibbers i think the reason for the shrinking firms is that the demand for architects and other build professionals is encouraging more and more young architects to go out and set up on their own earlier and earlier. Many of these practices probably wont make it and when the boom fizzles out (if ever) there'll be loads of them shutting down. Still its made the architectural awards a lot more varied these days rather than the old boys club it used to be in Ireland!! Brendan:)
