vray global subdivisions

Hi all,

 

I have this room scene and I am getting some noise. I bumped the global subdivisions multiplier to 3 and the rendering time almost tripled.

 

how else can I get rid of the noise? im using a direct for the sun and a vray light plane just outside the room window.

looks great so far Carlos...try bumping up, not your global subdivs, but your Vraylight Sampling subdivs....maybe to 15 or so.....

what are your AA settings? if you are using QMC sampler... take your noise threshold to .002

 

 

the tutorial below really gave me a good handle on what values to be setting for control and speed vs quality, give it a look it might help you to get your render time down once you know how the settings can work in your favor...

Hi guys, thanks for the suggestions.

 

I bumped the window light to 24 suv ds and i still get a little noise. Although it bothers me to have some noise, I guess I can live with it. thanks

How about you post the setting screenshot , it's easier to help that way.

bump ur global subdivs to six and decrease ur hsph samples to 8 or 10 and yes the times will increase
