raterry
Hi all, I'm struggling with the, I guess I'll call it the texture of a standing metal seam roof. The real problem is just how it reflects light I really can't believe I'm struggling so hard with this but I've spent hours teaking specular levels, etc and I just can't get it right. judging by pictures it is really light and bright in the sun but really dark when not in direct sunlight but mine just looks pretty much the same in both or practically white or black. Has anyone done a roof like this with nice results? If so please give me a hint as this is the one thing that's making my project look like junk. the color is a dark bronze metal roof. Using MAX 7 and light tracer. Thanks. -=Rob

Tomas
Raterry, you will never get a nice speculars, reflections ... etc. till you have a good enviroment. HDRI or a 360 image in enviromet. HDRI is my best bet. Tomas.
