Hi,

I am having some problem with realistic compositing of landscape in and around buildings. I tried with some many mehtods but nothing seems to work.

I tried with Total texture CD tree images in a image plane but not looking good, too blurry and unclear in the appearances. Uisng photoshop is good but needs lots of painstaking adjustments. When I dont get much timeline how do I cope with this? Is there any better and quicker method of putting landscape? Would be grateful for any kind of help. thankd in advance

Pradipta,

I use photoshop for my foliage and trees. It takes more time, but the results are better than if I do it in 3D, I believe. I have a collection of tree and bushes that I got from got3d.com, and then I use pictures of flower beds (like...say a bunch of petunias)....I pull that image into my scene in photoshop, then use the clone brush to paint in a flower bed around my house....I use the burn tool to darken underneath it for shadows...it works great for me.

I'd like to know other people's ways of doing this, though.

I do all my landscaping in Photoshop. Personally it's a lot quicker for me to do it this way. It's a lot easier adjusting colors, shadows, scale, etc. If a client wants something removed or added to the scene, it takes a min in Photoshop rather then re-rendering.
