Tim Saunders
looks nice. different angle, i wouldn't say bad though. sky is horrible though. looks super cg. find a nice one with some depth in the clouds. is there glass in the square cutouts on the wall we're leaning against? if so the falloff is way too strong. Aaron2004
Yeah...I agree with the sky issue. If it's not, then it's pretty darn close to the default max/viz skies. Also, how did you pull off the nice trailing/hanging effect for your vegation?
JamesTaylor
Thanks for all the comments, of which i agree with most! i have to say i'm not too horrified by the sky, although i accept its a little dark here - the render is direct from viz no p'shop done as yet! but its easily changed in post so i can have a play when time allows. The vegetation is vray displacement as suggested, the trailing plants are created by draping a mesh over the wall and appling an appropriate mat with dispalcement and oppacity channels. It is glass in the wall were leaning against, again i agree that the falloff could be reduced a little! The camera angle was stipulated by the client - its for a planning application and he wanted to hide some details which would appear set back on the roof (top right of image) hence the angle - it has actually grown on me as i've worked up the image! Jonathan Sanchez
I realy like the modelling and materials. Your vegetation is incredible. Only thing I would work on is lighting. Maybe putting a sun system or increasing the exposure might help.
