alfienoakes
I have set up the following images for an animation.. they are WIP's at present. I am getting quite a few artifacts that I cannot work out. They are showing up as dark patches, and are quite vivible on the following images. I have run the images with Regather Indirect Illumination turned on, settings as below: Rays per sample: 128 Filter Radius: 4 Clamp Values 20000 Any clues or experience of this by someone else, greatly received..! AJLynn
I don't know that renderer that well but it sure looks like a case of coplanar overlapping geometry messing with your lighting.
alfienoakes
Cheers Andrew, I know what you mean, but its not that. Its almost like the calculation is working out half the surface, and then givng up.. I think it could be some of my regather settings, but it takes a while to test each one..! upshot
It looks like smoothing artifacts to me... Try removing all smoothing from those objects and/or have vis calculate the smoothing (after you remove the smoothing)
