RyanSpaulding
Does anyone know of an app that can create ok stones? I have Vue but the stone generation is sharp and unpredictable. I'm trying to create a wall in 3d like the texture below AND have the option to use specific colors (hence why I need a stone generator). Any ideas? bully712
I have been wondering for a while now if there was a program out there that's similar to the Acme Brick Generator. I haven't run across any yet
RyanSpaulding
Has anyone tried XSI? I heard that it can create a primitive like a boulder...
Vince Paske
When faced with that predicament, I spend some quality time with Photoshop.
Ernest Burden III
A displacment map might be your best bet. I've made a few rocks in 3D. You would think it would be easy, but it isn't.

joseph alexander
Couldn't you do something with a "particle" system punching through a ground plane and then a material by element applied to your "particles". Render it with a plaster pass for your displacement map then with materials for your diffuse map. Then create a texture from that: diffuse and displacment. Then you have a low polygon solution. -joe
