Cirrus
Hi there, I've got quite a problem. I'm a student architect, and have an assignement to complete by tomorrow. This also requires several renders, the first time i'm doing this. Problem is now, when i apply a Diffuse map to a Vray material, it shows the texture just fine on an object created in Max, but not on the imported DWg model. I have no idea what to do about this, and i'd really like some help so i can finish this assignment in time. There's also an autocad/ 3DSmax rendering test tomorrow morning, so i'd like to know how to fix this problem by then. Anyway, hope anyone can help me. Thanks in advance, Laurens
JamesTaylor
sounds like you need to add a UVW map modifier to the object, when an object is created in max it will probuce basic UVW aswell - still best to use the modifer aswell tho as it allows control over bitmap placement / size etc.
DennisHolland
Import your DWG into Max/Viz and then export it as 3DS to get rid of crappy data. Import it back in Max/Viz and apply your map, u/v it in place/scale.... Dennis
