Tommy L
Ive got a feeling its a beginners tool, offers easy pre-sets for material values but dont know anyone aho's used it, its quite a new thing i think.
qwerty
hi, i've just got myself simian arch mat for christmas... tho haven't been using much yet, but certain presets are indeed convenient. i would say it's not everything there is, but accessibility to convenience in tweaking around the materials is actually expandable. at least it's good to start learning from their presets and have a better understanding on how it works and stuff. anyways, am quite happy with it and i think it's great for ppl who's slowly getting to know more on vray and its arch material. should there be any other advise or queries, do post in, least i can try to experiment on it and tell u the results. otherwise, have a merry festive season. qwerty
unforunately i can't really answer, as i'm only running on a home desktop... software wise, it's no problem at all. license.... it's a download using archvision content manager, which need a license no. to initial download, after that which i think you can actually install on any machines. but there again, i'm not too sure about multiple license. here's an extract from license agreement: Simian VRay Materials - Architectural Materials Volume 1 : You have licensed the right to use the Simian VRay Materials - Architectural Materials Volume 1 according to the terms of this License. Except as expressly set forth in this paragraph, the VisMasters General License Terms set forth below apply to all use of the Simian VRay Materials - Architectural Materials Volume 1. To the extent that any terms of this paragraph and the VisMasters General License Terms set forth below, the terms of this paragraph shall control. The Simian VRay Materials - Architectural Materials Volume 1 may be installed and enabled on multiple computers for purposes of network rendering............. .............
