assigning controlers

hey guys

i was wonderin if ne of u know of ne good tutorials of using controlers to control the rgb colour of objects.

im doin a little side project, of a robot, and i want his mouth / teeth to light up when he speaks. jus thought it wud b easier and quicker to set up a controler to the sound of his voice.

It's really super simple.

 

Make a cube, assign material, open trackview (Graph editors>TrackView). In the tree display find the cube, expand the tree, expand the shader basic paramters node. Diffuse color>right click> assign controller.

 

Just adjusting the color paremeters while in "AutoKey" mode at different frame times will animate the RGB color for you, ie assign a bezier controller by default. The you can edit in edit in the material editor or the curves graph editor.....

then again you could assign....

Audio controller for sound activation of colors, or a reactor based on like the upper lip postion...... simplifying the key framing for the Teeth color...that's what your looking to do I'm assuming
