materialmapper for max (lightscape oldschool tool)

Hi all,

no new scripts since a while , so i want to post a christmas special:

All Lightscape users does know this kind of tool ..some of them have used it and some of them used another LS workflowtrick to organise materialusage.

 

In lightscape you can import a DWG and assign materials automaticaly to layers with the materialmapper or you can save the materials and load them to the Scene which overwrites existing Materials.

 

 

In max you can't do both of them... so i wrote some month (or years?) ago my own little tool, which saves the object-Material relation to an ini-file and loads it back on demand... it was a tool without a ui and only to save me time.

 

Some month ago i took this 7 lines of code and wrote this new tool with an ui and with one additonal feature , because i sometimes mess up the wirecolors of a scene.
