William Alexander
you can use the dirt shader anywhere it's available...totally totally cooool LOL As part of a mix for the color channel, in the diffusion channel, alpha channel, use it to dim refelctions..... in a layer shader set to multiply-dirt-fakiosity, in an alpha shder, when it smells like almonds (SLA)........ as a dirt pass and composite at will in post.... the possibilites are endless The most basic uses: Shader in the color channel- then use rendered image to screen, overlay, multiply.... in PS over the actual full rendered scene. Same lines no compositing....use it in the diffusion channel, tweak the % & mix values to your liking, super grungy dirt or just a hint of dust LOL Dirt shader itself.... play with the settings LOL and turn on radiosity Ray Bias= I leave it alone (RTM) Distance=distance of spread-reach of dirt Rays=number of dirt rays cast, more is smoother & longer calc time for dirt Ray Spread= controls the even spread, 100% linear heavy to light, less than 100% forces a curved response, heavier at the source. Contrast= Contrast darkers darker & lighter areas brighter Included an 8.5 file for the image, Happy Holidays Does that help? WDA
