boogotti Posted December 27, 2005 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Hi, everyone i got a problem with vray (using 1.47) when ever i try to render out a z-buffer channel it comes out as stripes. I have fidded around with my camera settings i get the same problem? When i render a z-buffer channel using max's default render it comes out fine? Craig Ramsay Posted December 27, 2005 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Oh I remember this problem from a while ago... the information is actually there, if you save your file as a rpf or an rla the zdepth information will still come through correctly. boogotti Posted December 28, 2005 Author Share Posted December 28, 2005 hi thanks for your help, but i do my post production in photoshop and photoshop doesn't appect rpf rla files. i need to some how convert that Z-depth info into a grayscale so i can use it in photoshop. The only way of getting around this i was just thinking is to render it using the defult scanline to get the zdepth in grayscale? are there any other ways?
