Tim Saunders Posted December 29, 2005 Author Share Posted December 29, 2005 well, i noticed a slight difference, but there were still some black edges. i had better results by fixing my texmap in ps. i just tiled the texture the number of times the patch of rocks needed in the scene, then made a black arc with a slight gradience, and blacked out a few of the rocks near the edge of the arch. that's working pretty good. ShaunDon Posted December 29, 2005 Share Posted December 29, 2005 One recommendation I've often read on the Chaos boards but never had to implement myself is to add a black border around the edges of your displacement map -- this will force all sides to return to the zero of the displacement.
