Guest nazcaLine
er...sorry for my stupid question, but...what is a firmware? oh and thanks for replying, jeff...
Jeff Mottle
It is the operating system for your Zen. If you go to the Creative Labs website and look under support you can seach for the latets versions of your software and firmware. To install the firmware you just hook up the Zen with the USB cable and run an app and it will install the new firmware for you. It's refered to as firmware becuase the software is saved to a memory chip in the Zen, rather than to the harddrive. It's like a computer's BIOS. gfa2
Eduardo, I don't have my Zen touch with me so I don't know for sure, but there might be a small button somewhere that will reset the Zen and restore it to factory presets. Most PDA's have such a button. It should look like a very small hole and not much of a button, but you'd stick a paper clip in there and reset it. Like I said I can't confirm this right now, but it was just a thought. One thing...if you can do this it will probably erase all of your music off of the Zen. Guest STU_P
I had a problem with my Zen Touch locking up all it would say was that there was a harddisk error. In the end after many arguments with the supplier I ended up getting a refund and got a Sony HD player instead.

gfa2
btw anyone knows how to STOP a song? so i can turn the zen off...i always press pause, but is there a way to STOP? Yeah, I do the same thing, pause and turn it off. I don't think there is a way to stop. Although I never read the manual...I just like to dive right into things.
