vertexART
Hi there, if U are working with more than one layer, ctrl+s will always try to save as .psd. So, if U opened a .jpg file, added layers and stuff, first merge them down, then go 'ctrl+s', and then 'unmerge' them through history. Another option,a better one, would be to make a custom action that saves your file in specified folder with specified settings. hope it helps
RAYMOND
the custom action is what i need to do... of which i have never created one the psd needs to stay the way it since it is continually being updated.. but the output i need from it is a jpg.. for a map in viz... will see whats in help about custom action.. BrianKitts
I always leave the PSD in the same folder as the jpg that is referenced for a texture. That way when you want to save and switch back.... Use the keyboard for alt + L + F to flatten.....alt + F + A for the save dialog, then hit TAB to jump to the file type box. type "J" to switch to jpg. then slam the enter key twice, kill the last line in your history pallete to unflatten..followed by alt-tab to jump back to your 3d software. Get used to it and you can do it in about 5 seconds
RAYMOND
well, that's a good idea.... do you have trouble, saving an image (from PS) that is currently linked into autocad and open... i have to always close the dwg first to do this... however this is not so with viz.... strange.... Sindala
you could record an action, and assign a shortcut for it. it's real easy and then you can also do batch jobs on entire folders if you want.
