nbasir
Hi, Does it help an Arch.viz artist(or architect) studying computer animation at sheridan or Seneca in Toronto. Will it help in getting into the Arch.viz industry and community in toronto. Any suggestion from both the graduates( from Sheridan and Seneca) and others would be appriciated. I am a new landed imigrant in canada. In my country I was doing Arch.Viz as well as Architecture. If I want to start the same thing in Toronto, I think an upgrade will be needed in both the fields. I seriously need kind suggestions from the pros like you who already working in the industry specially in Canada. Thanks

I seriously need kind suggestions from the pros like you who already working in the industry specially in Canada. Thanks I get asked this question a lot, and my usual response is: Completion of a computer animation program is a bonus, but the ability to understand architecture - language, drawings, meanings - is the most fundamental requirement for succeeding in archviz, in my opinion. It's always easier to learn the technical side of illustration rather than the architectural side. There are exceptions, of course, but for the most part this has proven to be true in my experience. If you want to start in the business in Toronto you can't go wrong with preparing excellent samples of still images and demonstrating your knowledge of architecture first and foremost. From there, you may find opportunities with a dedicated redering company (like mine ) or as an in-house renderer with any number of firms in the city. Good luck -
