jtiscareno
It seems that here in the firm we are going to make the jump to Revit for the next project, I have sit down thru several demos of Revit and it looks OK, still have my doubts but lets try it. My question is can you "link" a revit model to Max just like from Acad to max so if the revit model changes (and it always does) the max file can be updated, and if this can be done how? Also if I would like to hear some comments of users that are using both programs or that work in max from revit models, to listen to your experience. Thanks a lot! theqball
Hi Jorge, good to here that your going to be tryin Revit. From I have seen in the field people have been really impressed by it and surprised a bit how easy it was to pickup. To answer your question, yes there is now file link between viz2006/Max7.5~8 and Revit. it's the same functionality as the file link we had for acad and adt. The steps are to simply export a camera in Revit as a dwg file and link that in max/viz with the file link tool. I do suggest playing with the settings in both Revit and max on simple files to see what the various options are like.
jtiscareno
thanks for the answer, I will be in training this coming weekend and i am excited to try and see revit, honestly I have tried to work with sketchup but am frustrated of how inaccurate it is, so i think revit will do the "sketchy" stuff as well as SU and then take it step by step all the way to cd's.
