3dsmax text along path

ok I'm hoping this is something so simple that I will look dumb for even asking, but how do you create text along a path in max????

 

I've been trying to deform it along a spline to get it to follow but I'm not getting it to work correctly.

 

any ideas?

maybe something like this:

 

make a 1 letter text spline, make a spline that text should follow, and use a Spacing Tool to copy that one letter.

Use Copy method, check the follow parameter in Spacing tool and edit each letter that you need. You may need to rotate the 1st letter before applying the spacing tool to suite your position for the text along the spline

u can also assign the letters to a spline using 'path constraint' under motion.

kinda like the spacing tool just w alittle more controll (i think)
