Jago_0108
Hi there I have a very big problem with arch windows, the thing is that i create a poly line closed by an arch, then extrude it, extrude the line thats supposed to be the wall and then substract the "arch window" hole from the "wall", when i link the file into Viz 2005 the archwindow instead of being an arch with many segments, smooth and "circular", becomes an arch of three points, how can i improve this. If you are using File Linking, there is a way around this. After linking the model go back to the file link menu and click files. Then hit reload and you will get a dialog box. On the bottom right there is something about surface deviation or something like that. Change it to .1". This should smooth out the surfaces. makemono
You can also raise the number of curves. Look the tuts that came with the program. There is a section about cad links and how to bypass some other problems too.
Jago_0108
Thanks for your help I tried both advices but could not get the results I wanted here is an image of the problem I mean, could it be the type of arch I'm doing in Acad? If so, what kind of arch should I do to get more points in the curve? Thanks for your help. The red one is the one linked with the file link manager from acad. The other is a window i tried to fit in it but the number of points in the arch did not coincide

Jason Matthews
Yup. Thats the one. The lower the better, but do not set it to 0.
