pradipta
I was reviewing one interior render made by my friend that has lots of dark patches in it. the room was rendered with IR map and QMC. i could not solve the problem. Something like the render below. it's not smoothly coming out in his comp. any solution?
JamesTaylor
looks like you need to increase one or a few of the following: HSphere SubDivs Interp Samples both of the above are in the Irridance Map Rollout, Alternatively you may need to increase the subdivs of the light illuminating that area of the scene and maybe uping the subdivs of the white material will help. **don't go wild on them tho as your render times will soon get high!! makemono
If these don't work try reducing the noise threshold under QMC Sampler to 0,002. This will also raise your render times.
bokkins
i think it has also to do with your lighting and shadows.
pradipta
thanks to all of you. it's solved. i had to raise the sub-div of the light and i overlooked that setting in the scene. HSphere SubDivs and other parameters were perfect so didnt change that. thanks a lot
