kingkelly
Thanks for the info evvvveryone So does an architectural illustrator still do 3d renderings? Focus360 looks like it uses mostly AutoCad for its stuff.
Scott Baumberger
Hey Ernest, thanks for the plug! Yeah, it's pretty much just me here in San Diego - there are a couple traditional painters as well but it's kind of a small town. There are some more companies up in LA including Focus360 but even so, Southern California does seem to be somewhat under-represented (part of the reason I moved here ). Don't know if that helps, but good luck with your search!
John Dollus
Kelly: Focus uses Max. They posted an exterior animation over a year ago in the Vray forum so I'm pretty sure they use Vray as well Nice work btw and good luck with your search
Brian Cassil
Yeah, it's pretty much just me here in San Diego - there are a couple traditional painters as well but it's kind of a small town. What!? San Diego may not be L.A. or N.Y. but it's bigger than S.L.C., and there is an absolute plethora of renderers here! Many of them do work out of state though, including So Cal. My family and I took a trip there last fall and it was one of the best vacations we've ever had. In fact now, my kids from time to time chant "we wanna go... to San Diego" If I could only afford the housing.
