How to render regions, not whole image with vray?

yes, you can do that, if you are using the virtual frame bufer from vray you must check the "get resolution from max"

you do not need switch to v-ray frame buffer - just switch in main toolbar from view to region render. /if you want to use vray frame buffer you could, but resolution have to be same like in max frame buffer/

Hit the render icon and not F9, then it will show you a dotted lined box and adjust it to what you want and then hit ok in the bottom right hand corner.

hi d7man2000,

to render a region u need to calculate the irradiance of the view and save it, them select (in irradiance mode) from file, browse to the saved file, and render the region you want.
