If the render im doing doenst have reflective floors ( and not a strong light like the sun) i add teh ppl in photoshop, cuz is faster, but if teh floor is reflective, i add RPCs in the rendering, which can take too long. But that guy added thos in photoshop, and the reflections on teh floor are so real, any tips on this?..... Ernest Burden III
Put in your figures (on their own layer)! Duplicate the layer. Work on the bottom layer. Area select around each figure, and transform>flip vertical, then move the selection so the feet are under the originals feet, as a reflection would be. You may have to erase or 'pull' (smeary finger tool) a bit at the feet for closer figures. Do this for each figure. Set the layer's blend mode to 'overlay' or 'soft light' (try both, see which you prefer). Play with the layer's transparency until you're happy with it. Finally, with a wide, soft-edged eraser remove some of the reflection from the head up. Erase it, then go to edit>fade and play with the fade amount to see what you like. There's more to it than that, but that'll get you started.
