skala67
Here is a New Emergency Entry on an existing hospital. It is really bugging me and I need any advice that can be given. Unfortunately I think this is one of those projects where, no matter what is done, the design just makes it a terrible image. (dressing up a pig) There is no color in the design except white for the plaster and the emergency and ambulance signs need to be bright red. It is in the Arizona desert, so they tend to keep their landscape minimal and dry. and last but not least. they wanted this viewpoint from across the parking lot plus no atmospheric skies, just sunny day. C&C welcome on what type of dress is needed for my sow. thanks, p.s. done in Cinema4d
doodler
HEi Skala, I think the image is quite good, If I were creating the image i would use a lot more photographic elements. I would goto a hospital and take as many refrence photos as i could, look at the kerb stones look at the cars in the car park, look at the ambulances. I would advise you to do this and try if poosible to match the photo elements to the lighting in your scene, the blue Jeep looks really good im guessing thats a model? I would possibly add a little more detail in your building, seem lines in your cladding and darken the windows they look a little bright. The red signage has a little to much contrast also for my liking.. good luck with it, in the UK we say you cant polish a turd, ive been in your situation many times were you have to the best you can with a totally uninspiring design... Jonathan Sanchez
there's something weird about the blue roof over the emergency sign. But I mean your image is great it's just the hospital is not that pretty so you dont have much to work with. Just i agree w/Karl, give it more detail to beautify the building. skala67
I do have images from the site, but unfortunately it is too far away from where i live and work to justify going to. And of course the architect took pictures during the afternoon so the building is in complete shadow. I will definitely work on the saturation levels in the red and the blue, and try to pull the detail out more along with the windows. I do appreciate the comments and will update soon. Oh and every element in the image is modelled so the light matching is through the program itself. I will work on getting that fine tuned. Thanks for the encouragement. cheers,

Ernest Burden III
Move closer and make the most of the platonic forms that make up the entrance. Be sure to get close enough to allow the blue roof stuff to poke up above the rooflines behind it. Go more to the left to create a bit more 'angled' perspective, and do not put a pair of cars blocking the visual pathway into the entrance. reddy
Go more to the left to create a bit more 'angled' perspective, and do not put a pair of cars blocking the visual pathway into the entrance. Ernest is dead right i think. The composition isnt helping too much. The focus of the scene is almost on the blank part of the facade in the centre of the picture. By changing the angle slightly and rearranging cars and other entourage you can frame the important information you're trying to convey. The whole dressing up a pig issue is so infuriating. I worked at rendering in house for a while during my work experience and often got the most disgusted reactions when the head architect saw the renderings! It was more shock at what he'd designed than anything to do with the rendering! Its unfortunate that 3d visualisation is often used to hide the poor quality of many buildings while paaing through the planning process. Sorry i'm getting distracted! Otherwise the rendering is pretty good. The cars are excellent. Good work.
