IUI Design
Hi everyone, I've also posted a similar question on the VRay forum here, so please bear with me!! The problem is that I down loaded a max file of a rendered room and liked the colors on the floor, so I thought about using this on a future project - The thing is that the floor colour is a Grey and when I look into the Max Material slots there are 4 Greys!!! How do I find out which one has been used on the floor ??? Any help welcome. Ifty
JamesTaylor
Select the floor then in the material editor find the slot which has solid white triangle in each corner. These indicate that the material is applied to object selected. If the material is not in one of the slots, with the floor selected again, pick a blank slot and use the "get material" button, when the dialog box comes up check "from selected" and pick the material, or... use the idrop tool in the material editor and pick the floor. There are many ways, refer to the help document also
sunet
Ifty, when u select the object in your view port the max material which is applied to it gets highlighted (the corner white gets brighter) in the material slot. The best method to find a material is to use the eye dropper (Pick material from object)
