RAYMOND
if you want to switch views to different camera's thru an animation how do you do this in track view i would be in deep shock if this can not be done... or is it a batch job...
a_w
I believe you need Video Post for that, which is a feature missing from VIZ that Max has -- at least I don't see it in Viz 2005 (not sure about 2006). You probably know this but you could render out a range of frames from each camera and then piece the renders together in a video editor. Even Windows Movie Maker will work in a pinch. I would be interested in hearing if there's a quicker method for VIZ. Maybe a script? RAYMOND
it is surprizing they don't have that feature... looks like a script will work... just have figure out how write it.. i think it is just render plus the variables

notamondayfan
http://www.scriptspot.com has a camera animation script. really easy 2 use for changing camera. personally id rather render each camera seperatley, then edit all the animation in a post production package such as after effects. RAYMOND
www.scriptspot.com has a camera animation script. really easy 2 use for changing camera. personally id rather render each camera seperatley, then edit all the animation in a post production package such as after effects. basically i always render out to jpgs.. then round them up in RamPlayer.. that way if a couple frames don't work or the render stops in the middle of the night i don't have to redo it from the beginning... however if need views from several camers i would need different file namses for the jpg output like camA_???.jpg CamB_???.jpg etc... i use Window Movie Maker for Post Prodution...... primative as it is. mostly i use it for the compression so i cam email the wmv's i will see what i can steal for the script writers at large... thank goodness its monday... quizzy
if you need different filenames like camB camA etc.. you'll propably end up by using the network render for each camera. This means one backburner job per filename... Ofcourse you can script this... I wrote my script to prevent just this...
